The trouble begins after a young physicist (Dr Bruce Banner) is injured during the experimental detonation of a gamma-bomb in his own laboratory. The explosion transforms Banner into the bane of his own existence, The Incredible Hulk.  Dr Banner now finds an intense anger inside himself that the outside world does not understand ("You won't like me when I'm angry”), sometimes can not accept, and even worse, the Military seeks to exploit or destroy.


Mars’ version of the Hulk appears with his left arm raised in a gesture of psychological power and self-knowledge. The internal drama faced by Dr Banner after he survived the explosion in his lab, has spiritually transformed him into the American Superhero.

The Incredible Hulk is often seen as a response to war in the Nuclear Age and the Military Industrial Complex.  One sees the classic story of Science bringing forth Knowledge,.. in good faith and intending it for the good and benefit of all,.. only to see it stolen by warmongers and used by the Military to bring misery to the world.
